Good solutions which can be implemented require a high level of functional professionalism. We therefore do our best to attract and develop the very best consultants.
We are working constantly and in a structured way to develop our methods and tools. Therefore our competences are among the very best in the market.
This is acknowledged by our clients who rate our consultants’ professional standards very highly. This is why our clients have nominated some of the projects we have implemented in cooperation for the Management Award which is awarded by the Danish Management Board (DMR) (Confederation of Danish Industry), and in tough competition with other consultant firms, Valcon has won many awards - main awards as well as individual categories.
Once a year when Danish Management Board (DMR) under the Confederation of Danish Industry elects the consulting project of the year by awarding the Management Award, it is not unlikely that you will find Valcon as number one. Valcon won the main award in 2004, 2007 and again in 2008. In addition, Valcon has also received a number of category awards.
In 2009, Valcon won the Management Award in the category "Production management and efficiency improvement" for the fifth time. This time the Danish Management Board awarded the Management Award in this category for a well executed lean implementation in the Danish National Social Security Agency.
In 2008, Valcon won the Management Award for a lean project implemented in cooperation with Børne- og Ungdomsforvaltningen (the child and youth administration) in the district of Copenhagen.
In 2007, Valcon Innovation won the Management Award for a project implemented in cooperation with the Odense Steel Shipyard
In 2004, Valcon won the Management Award for the project “Lean paradigm change in PFA Pension”.
This time the award was given in the category "Organisation and Manager Development", and the reason for the award was Valcon's contribution to an organisational turn-around in the Siemens Building Technologies division.
Siemens Building Technologies turned an unacceptable business situation into satisfactory results. In the major change process in Siemens Building Technologies, a manager development process – a so-called manager assessment – was an important tool for both the division's management and intermediate management level.
COMMENTS OF THE PANEL OF JUDGES
"Through a remarkable project, Valcon has strengthened the management competence within Siemens Building Technologies. The consultants have been able to anchor the common management values of the Siemens Group and to enhance the strategic understanding among the managers, which has been vital in strengthening the client's competitiveness.
In the course of two years, the project has created great results for the client. Among other things, marked improvements have been achieved in key ratios, productivity and employee satisfaction, and at the same time absence due to sickness has been reduced. Today, the experience from the project is used as inspiration in the client's other divisions."
The management development at Siemens has been a cultural revolution.
